Obverse: Bust to the right of 27-year-old Queen Elizabeth II wearing a laurel wreath. Reverse: The coat of arms of Canada, proclaimed by King George V on November 21, 1921 and redesigned in 1957, are surrounded by the face value and the inscription "CANADA". There was an attempt of "colorer" (heraldic sense) the coin, the plain background representing the blue. In 1959, a mistake made the lower part of the shield was "colorée" in blue instead of white. This was corrected in 1960. The coat of arms are now complete.
